On a remote Southeast Asian island, more than 200 million ants are on the move, devouring everything -- and everyone -- in their path. An extermination company arrives to deal with the problem, but their lead scientist (Tom Wopat) soon makes a startling discovery. The ants are being used for world domination by an unseen force, and until it is stopped, the army of insects will continue their assault. Elizabeth Healey co-stars.

Ants sticking together to form giant prehensile gravity defying columns that worked like hands, was an interesting concept even if it was a bit stupid. So was the ant computer, and the ants drawing pictures to communicate with humans. The story did have some originality to it. The FX were cheesy from the beginning but I sort of got used to it. This movie kept me mildly amused throughout. I wasn't bored. The beautiful Thai countryside was perhaps the best part. Don't rent it unless you have a high tolerance for really bad B Sci-fi.
