Generations of American children sat in darkened classrooms and absorbed wisdom from 16mm educational and social guidance films. No nuns with rulers here, just good old-time cinematic religion. In this volume, learn about the wages of sin, the secret to getting into heaven and why God likes nuclear power so much. Films include "Door to Heaven," "Atomic Energy Can Be a Blessing" (with Fred MacMurray) and "Of Heaven and Home."

This volume is the perfect 'morning after pill' for anyone with bothersome religious convictions. Sometimes goofy, sometimes disturbing, "Religion" is an entertaining cross-sectional study of mid-20th Century religious propaganda that will allow the viewer even greater insight into the naivete of the era. Raised pentecostal, I especially enjoy the opportunity to laugh at these extremely goofy religious propaganda shorts. If you enjoy this, you will likely enjoy the Social Engineering volumes, and don't skip "Patriotism," because it's loads of fun too.
