This was an outstanding British production about a woman in 1900 who has ambitions beyond her class and through determination and some unexpected events, eventually achieves them on Duke Street with some interesting results. I watched this one online, but didn't realize how many episodes there were. I watched for 5 ½ hours (Series 1, Discs 1,2, and halfway through 3/5). Every episode was good and I expect all future ones would have been good, too, although the original premise, the one I liked the most, had long since disappeared.
