This show gleefully departs from the usual medical dramas, instead mining the laughs that come with interning at a busy and bizarre hospital. From the first day onward, J.D. Dorian (Zach Braff) and his classmates, the surgery-obsessed Chris Turk (Donald Faison) and smart-and-sassy Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke), discover that becoming a doctor requires tons of patience, clarity and a sense of humor in this first season of the hit series.
Well this DVD set should be perfect for Scrubs fans. Even for people that like the show's latest season would like this set because it provides a quite interesting backstory a each one of the newbies. Packed with many great episodes this DVD set has what Scrubs fans desire. My only complaint is the lack of audio comentaries. Other than that the set is perfect.

The last thing I thought television needed was another medical program, especially a comedy. With the notable exception of M*A*S*H, medical settings seem to flop for comedies, at least for me. SCRUBS has been another notable exception. I didn't think I would like it, but I loved it. The entire ensemble from the interns to the janitor are excellent. The stories combine drama with a zany, often surreal, sense of humor. This is another television show for the vault. All-time favorites.
