Three million years into the future, only Dave Lister has survived a radiation leak on the ship Red Dwarf in this sci-fi parody that first aired on British television in the 1980s. Join Lister and some twisted characters -- including a hologram of his dead roommate and a creature that once was the ship's cat -- on their bizarre adventures. Episodes include "Backwards," "Marooned," "Polymorph," "Bodyswap," "Timeslides" and "The Last Day."

All of the episodes in this series are enjoyable to watch, but "Backwards" stands out. Not just the bodily humor involved in visiting a world where time goes in reverse, but the thought that went into what living in that world would be like. The cause and effect (or effect and cause I guess) is fun to watch unfold. "Polymorph" is another favorite where the cast and writers get a chance to explore the characters after they've had one of their major emotions sucked out. Out of all the episodes, "The Last Day" was probably the most disappointing to me. It was still standard Red Dwarf fun, but seemed to drag a bit, and the character of Hudzen didn't seem menacing, just overblown.

Deus Ex Machina
This season has some of the best episodes in the entire series; however, the bad episodes in this season are quite boring. It's still very funny most of the time, although the addition of Kryton is not always a good thing. The picture is still pretty bad, but it is definitely worth a watch, especially in IW.
