After assassinating a military leader in Mexico, American government hit man Clayton Price (Scott Glenn) finds cover in the form of two weary travelers (Craig Wasson and Giovanna Zacarias) who agree to help him hide in the Mexican jungle. But what they don't know is that Price is being tailed by stealthy CIA operative Walter McGrane (Harvey Keitel), who has instructions to deliver his target dead or alive.

Another B action gem gleaned from the myriad obscure titles available for those who search and are willing to take a chance like yours truly. Sometimes the search is futile and results in a dud. Other times it pays off as in this wonderful action adventure. I relish this type of low budget, low class fare and I'm a sucker for films in and about Mexico or anywhere south of the border. Amoral and unapologetic, this movie takes a skewed view of life and death that will please those who are not too quick to judge. After all it is a movie, and a B movie at that. It is not perfect. Some parts are not believable, while other parts have a strong element of realism. Scott Glen gives good performance as a likable hitman, and Craig Wasson plays a unlikable loudmouthed whiner, and his acting is a bit over the top. Harvey Keitel plays a complete jerk but at least he keeps his clothes on. Giovanna Zacarias is a beautiful young actress who I had never seen before and she really shines in her leading role. I hope to see more of her in the future. Don't expect a great masterpiece but this movie is very good. I recommend it unless you only like typical mainstream Hollywood stuff.
