Meet the Parents

Every beau's biggest fear becomes Ben Stiller's enduring nightmare when he meets his fiancée's parents (Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner) for the first time. It's a hilarious case of Murphy's Law where everything that can go wrong does go wrong, all under De Niro's hawklike gaze. Based on a low-budget 1992 movie, Meet the Parents ups the ante thanks to its high-octane cast.

Ben Stiller is truely gifted at making painful situations into pure comedy. This movie is a hilarious nightmare! De Niro does the classic straight man ,but one better. It felt like watching a crazy train wreck! This role has become Ben's trademark character, but that's OK because he does it so well. I think they could've given Pam (Teri Polo) a clue because she really starts to grate on my last nerve with how oblivious she is to what she's putting "Greg" through. But then, I guess the painful sits would cease... Owen Wilson is a genius at comedy and is the perfect partner for Ben Stiller to play off as Pam's ex-"silly sexual thing" fiance'! I loved the end bit with Stiller talking to the secret little hidden camera, mimicking DeNiro and busting him on some of his bs. Really funny stuff!
