Renowned blues guitarist Keb' Mo' brings his innovative take on the blues -- blending a traditional style with a more experimental approach -- to life in a New York City studio in this intimate 1997 performance. The artist, accompanied by special guest pianist Dr. John, performs 14 songs, including "I'm on Your Side," "Just Like You" and "She Just Wants to Dance" while also taking time to banter with the audience.

This is very good. If you like the artist, then you will like the DVD. His style reminds me of Taj Mahal, although I like Taj even better. Some of his songs were almost too mellow for my tastes, but I really liked the bluesier stuff. Dr. John sat in on one song only. I can't say I was crazy about the whole thing but I did like it a lot. I do recommend it to blues fans, and if you like Keb' Mo' then it's a no brainer.
