Workaholic architect Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) stumbles on a universal remote control that allows him to pause events in his life or fast-forward through them. But things get really bizarre when the gadget develops a mind of its own and takes control of Michael's viewing choices, causing him to see how much of his family life he's sacrificed for his career. Christopher Walken and Kate Beckinsale co-star in this high-concept comedy.

I really enjoyed the meaning of this movie. It was refreshing even if a little depressing at the end. However, the humor was very crude and sophomorish (high school). I guess that is to be expected with an Adam Sandler movie.

I was expecting a comedy but this was a very dark movie. A little girl sitting behind me was sobbing hysterically in one of the scenes. This movie, wlthough PG-13, is not for young children.

I don't write reviews. But after seeing this movie, I just had to start. God-Awful. Intellectually insulting. Adam Sandler - I expect better! The one saving grace of this movie is christopher walkin, who 30% of the time actually puts effort into acting. Booooooo!

Adam Sandler gives us what seems to be a combination of the crude humor of his previous movies with The Family Man and It's a Wonderful Life. Throw in the remote as a plot driver and there's your movie. The ability to fast forward, pause, rewind or even mute our lives is something that he thinks he wants but finds out that he really doesn't. Jumping from milestone to milestone of his life makes him realize how important it is to not just get through life to get to the next promotion but to really LIVE life day by day, hour by hour, and minute by minute. I love it when a movie hits home for me personally. There are some movies that stimulate the brain but others that touch the heart. This is definitely the latter. I couldn't help but think about decisions that I make in my own life in regards to priorities while watching this movie as well as the consequences of those decisions. I love the imagination and vision that went into what his life would be like in the future and how his life decisions make such an impact. What a great lineup of talent too. Adam Sandler is great as comic relief in this movie; Kate Beckingsale is beautiful and perfect as his wife; Henry Winkler is perfectly cast as Sandler's dad; Hasselhoff as Sandler's boss; Sean Austin as a constant gag; and Christopher Walken takes this movie to the next level as Morty. Great casting. This is the humor you would expect in an Adam Sandler movie thus sex jokes and language throughout. PG-13 rating is earned. I hate it when previews for a movie tell the entire story. However, a preview is perfect when it spotlights one aspect of the movie while not giving it all away. That is what is done here. I walked in thinking "light-hearted comedy" and walked away re-examining my life and my priorities. I can't say that this will be the case for everyone but you'll soon discover that Click is more than just a good laugh. 4.2 out of 5

Bit different for an Adam Sandler movie but in a good way. It's a comedy and a drama with a good message about enjoying your life while you have it.

First off, not a big Adam Sandler fan. I have only really liked two of his movies: Happy Gilmore and Punch-Drunk Love. This movie seemed predictable and just not funny. Look, dog humping an inanimate object - not seen that before in a movie. Geez. Essentially, this was Bruce Almighty but even less funny and probably the worst cop-out ending ever. THe worst part is I went in expecting not to like it, and thought, maybe I would be surprised. Turns out, I liked it even less than I expected. Christopher Walken made it somewhat watchable, but I could tell he was cringing at times.

This is somewhere between a "comedy" and a "dark comedy". It gets most of the stupid jokes out of the way at the start, and settles down to teach a lesson about not taking your loved ones for advantage. Sandler and Walken are very good. The rest of the cast does a respectful job. If you're looking to "bust a gut", this movie isn't for you.

If you saw the TV spots for this movie, you probably thought that it was a slapped together, single concept, shallow comedy. That's all I expected, but it was a trick! This is actually a cautionary tale of what life would be like if all of the the less than fun stuff is passed by. It had a few laughs during the early stages and became more & more serious towards the middle and then it was absolutely gut-wretching towards the end, as I blindly lunged for the tissue box, crying my eyes out. Sandlers' life disappears before his eyes, because he loses the ability to choose to be present. I think the message is spot-on and the presentation probably got a lot of people thinking about how often they actually pay attention to those they love. We've watched it a couple of times, and it is always a wake-up call to plug in and really listen to each other.

When it's my weekend with the kids, it's always a hassle to find a movie that they can watch together and not start to go through my drawers. I can say that this movie had my kids transfixed for its entire running length. I didn't watch it, though. But you can imagine what it would be like, if you've ever wanted to turn your ex-wife off when she comes by asking for child support, even though she was the one that kicked me outta the house. Click is one of the top five best movies of 2006 through June 25. Of course, that may be saying as much about the questionable quality of movies in general in 2006 as it does about Adam Sandler's newest movie, but Click ended up being a strong comedy-drama with surprising depth and maturity. I didn't expect a lot out of Click, to be honest. I figured it would hold my interest and be good for a couple of laughs. I got plenty of laughs, but I also got a great family drama with some excellent social commentary about how people today divide their time between work and family. Sandler is excellent in this film, and the rest of the supporting cast does a terrific job too. Christopher Walken is appropriately creepy, the kids are really cute, and Kate Beckinsale is a huge improvement over Sandler's last co-star, the incredibly unfunny (how does this woman keep getting work) Tea Leoni. The big surprise is that David Hasselhoff does a great job as the cheeseball boss. Click clicked with me. It's fun and funny, a touching cautionary tale with actors who worked great together. There is plenty of depth, but there are also plenty of fart jokes. Great date movie.

Click lacks an identity. Marketed as a comedy, viewers will discover that Click is at times a comedy but at others a drama, and still others, a sci-fi. And this jack-of-all-trades was clearly a master-of-none in my book as the jokes were either cliche, slapstick or repetitive. The sci-fi elements I suppose were the most interesting but amounted to a device for drama than a catalyst for anything approaching funny. I guess that's my greatest disappointment with this one; I wanted funny and I didn't get it. Adjust your expectations and you may find whatever it is you're looking for.

Sandler is aging, and he plays a father who is battling with control and his family. This movie might be depressing from the plot, but Sandler moves it toward a more humorous point. It battles between a message of family, and comedy which is one of the few complaints I have about the film, yet it does a stellar job in character development, humor, plot and creativity. The ideas they come up with for this universal remote does not disappoint. A typical good Sandler film; but, be expecting a different side from this actor.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** In a world of low brow, low concept comedies from Will Farrell, Ben Stiller, and others in the comedy genre, I'm so glad to see Adam Sandler mature. This was a great movie with a sweet story.

When this came out it looked cute but I heard a lot of bad reviews so put it off a couple of years. Perhaps lower expectations improved my enjoyment of this film. Kate Beckinsale is great if a little too forgiving and Sandler is a little too mean in some parts, but it's a comedy basically so you have to overlook some things. The movie has it's share of chuckles but gets the third star based on the lesson finally learned and not a moment too soon. Could have been done PG with a little less sex humor without losing anything. Not exactly a family comedy because of that but ok for all over 16. 6/08

This was a cute movie - cute kids, cute wife, cute neighbors, etc. - with not a lot of substance. I would have probably given it 2 1/2 stars, if possible, because I did like the message although it was heavy handed in its expression. I didn't find the movie funny so much as stupid. I favor movies that are more subtle or at least have interesting characters. And I wanted to see it for it sci fi undertones, which turned out to be an interesting premise. But it didn't make me laugh much, especially the continuous joke (?) of the dogs. What was up with that? Morty was my favorite character. At least he transcended the cuteness factor and why I went with three stars instead of two.
