Ah! My Goddess

A whiz with his studies, engineering student Keiichi Morisato doesn't demonstrate the same prowess with the ladies. But one fateful evening, a wrong number puts him in contact with the "Goddess Hotline." One wish later, Keiichi finds himself blessed with Belldandy, the perfect girlfriend and an honest-to-goodness goddess. Unfortunately, she doesn't have any idea of how to act in the human world, and her presence quickly upturns Keiichi's world.

Contrary to other higher ratings I could not get past the first disk. The premise and the animation were old school silly. If eye roll goofiness is your thing then you may enjoy this. If you're looking for more serious fare then skip this and move on to the next.

This series never fails to make me feel all warm and happy. It's pure cuteness wrapped around genuine sincerity while still dabbling just enough into more adult themes. It definitely is one of those rare series which you become eager to race through because it's so enjoyable, and yet you become increasingly sad as that final episode looms closer. This series is immediately accessible to all types of viewers, and I would suggest this as a great entry into the genre.
