Fred Claus
A funny movie about St. Clause's brother Fred who seems to be the black sheep of the family. I don't want to give away more then that, but this is a cute film for any family night around Christmas time. Vaughn is soooo funny and Giamatti makes the best Santa...too funny how well he fits the part. Trouble hits the south pole and believe it or not its up to the black sheep to save them all. The story has a great message to it and is a fun ride all the way through. A must see for any Christmas movie fan.

The Nightmare Before Christmas
This movies is one of the MANY reasons I love pretty much ANYTHING Tim Burton touches. His pure genius in film, story, characters is an amazing thing to see. I love this movie almost as much as all the others out there. A great one to be enjoyed with the family and the kids, for Halloween or Christmas! A must see in my opinion. The music is remediable and unique, everything about this film you will not soon forget. If you haven't seen this one yet you are missing out BIG time!! Go!! Put it in your queue...now!

Dark City Director's Cut
Wow! Im impressed. I had heard of this movie for years, however i never actually known anyone who had seen it so it kept getting put off. Well I watched if for the first time today and I really liked it. The story is about a city with a secret (no im not going to give anything away) but its really interesting ending...kind of like Truman Show meets the Matrix....sorta... anyway this is a really good film and I would dare to say that its one of those neglected films that should be labeled a classic. Great casting and awesome story the film is VERY well done. A good movie to check out if you haven't already.

Tropic Thunder
This Is GARBAGE! This whole movie..ughhh what a waste of 120 minutes. With a cast a good as it was, this movie should have been a LOT better then it was. When was it suppose to get funny?? , The parts that were obviously suppose to be funny, were more stupid then funny. The whole movie just reeked of bad script writing and directing. I know these guys can make better comedies then this...I have seen them..Skip this movie...you will be so glad u did.

Hancock
I loved this movie!!! Wow! Its got everything in it humor, action, superheros, and twists that you just might not see coming. GREAT movie. I love the humor, the script, the characters everythings about this movie is just pure gold. One to not just see but own, I could see this one becoming a classic. Smith & Theron are sooooo good. The twist is GREAT!!! Wow....go see this movie if you haven't already and if you have...go buy it cause your gonna want to watch it over and over...

WALL-E
Adorable. This film starts off a bit slow (no talking will do that) but if you can get through the first 15-20 minutes of the film your golden. This movie is another great family night film or one for the kiddies sleep over party. You can't help but fall in love with Wall-e and Eve. A great cast of voices and a good message movie, this film has got it all. Some cute funny parts as well as a little adventure along the way. Over all a must see for any Disney or family movie fan.

The Game Plan
A cute film that all the kids and parents are sure to love. A great family night film for anyone. Me however...well I though it was okay...a little over the top in someways. I liked it but didnt love it and I dont know if I will recommend it per say unless I think the person is really into family type movies. I watched it once and dont think I will go back for a second helping of this one anytime soon.

Perfect Creature
I was so disappointed in this movie. I am a true vampire movie seeker and when I find one I haven't watched I have to see it pronto. This one was just not worth the rush to the top of my queue to get it home, nor was it really worth the somewhat short 88 minute story. I was really disappointed with the storyline and although the scripting wasn't terrible it didn't really grab you and make you want more. I found a lot of this movie to be sort of blah and boring. Not what any vampire movie should be. A skip over if your looking for a "good" vampire film.

Heavy Metal 2000
Was not overly impressed with this film at all. I was expecting a lot more out of it then what I got. Heard lots of people talking read reviews, thought this might be enjoyable. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, not so great story with very rough edges characters so the movie doesn't really ever attract you enough to draw you into it...a skip over if you ask me.

Amelie
This is a quirky romance film that just had me thinking. It was enjoyable to watch, funny and a bit odd at times but the whole thing is just great. The little oddities and "obsestions" drive this movie and those things cause this movie to shine brightly. Uniquly its own, its comedic and romantic and strange all things that you will love about this film. I will warn you caption haters that this film is entirely in french so if you don't like reading unfortunetly you will not enjoy this film. I would highly recommend this film though to anyone who likes a unique movie. Great find!!

Pet Sematary
Okay not Stephen Kings BEST movie, but definitely a good one. This is a good scary movie though well back in the day at least. A great classic horror film that reminds us what good horror movies are all about. Blood, gore and messing with your mind. One scene in particular creep-ed me out pretty bad (the little kid, I don't want to give anything else away). I totally enjoyed this movie I remember seeing it as a kid and although its not as "scary" as it was then it still left me creep-ed out. A great film to revisit and a must see for any horror fan.

The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian
From the previews of this film I expect far better then this film turned out to be. Not as good as the original and by far not nearly as good as the previews deceive you to believe. The acting is okay and even though the effects and moves are really good it still doesn't hold your attention for very long. Sadly this film had some good people behind the scenes but it wasn't enough to get me excited. A skip over in my opinion.

Futurama: Bender's Game
Not too bad, liked this one better then the other Futurama movies but lets face it nothing beats the show when they were in episode form. All the characters you have come to love are here again to make you laugh till you cry. A must see for all fans of the series.

Journey to the Center of the Earth (3D)
This one is definitely for the kiddies. A good family movie, however adults may find it hard to enjoy as the concepts of the movie are hard to swallow, Granted its fiction but just somethings about it made me think they could have done a better job to make it more believable. Fraser was a good staring lead but I feel that the movie was below his talent. His co-stars were good but easily forgettable. An okay movie over all, not great but no horrible either.

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army
A pretty decent number two. Nothing spectacular but not bad. The cgi is pretty good, I liked the mosters and creatures and such very entertaining. The story is a bit predictable but I found myself still drawn into this film in many ways. Perlman is just perfect for his role and I am glad he is doing it. The costuming in this film is really really great as well the almost gothic look of two of the characters is creepy yet beautiful at the same time, Great work all around. A must see for superhero fans.

Get Smart
This was VERY well done. I am sure I am not alone when I say I was a bit unsure of a remake for this particular character but Carrell and Hathaway are GREAT! The do a supurb job of adapting to their roles and Carelll is just funny funny funny. A great film for movie night that everyone will be sure to love.

The Hills Have Eyes 2
Just as much of a let down as the FIRST one. Too many gaps to much left unsaid. A lot of gore but no point to it, as if they are trying to use gore to cover up the lack of story or bad acting. This movie (actually both 1 and 2) are just not fit to be mentioned among a list of good horror movies. If you ask me...keep looking.

Witchboard
Good concept for a film, definitely original. HOWEVER the casting SUCKS. The dialoge is just painful to listen to and the actors are just bad bad bad!! I was hoping for a little bit of a jump here and there or at least a memorable part of this film but neither of those things occured throughout the film. Maybe its just to dated? Or maybe I'm right and they should have invested in some better actors and a better script.

The Haunting
I really liked this movie when it first came out. Hill House is just CREEPY and then you add in the great story about the owner and the fun begins. The start of "good" cgi adds to the creepiness of this film and its GREAT. Even though the ending is not my preferred it was still a good movie that implanted itself in my memory. Its kinda cool that you have major actors playing secondary actors with the leading lady being an unknown. Everyone does a really great job as a cast and I feel they made a perfect choice on choosing them. If you like scary non gory mess with your mind movies this one is good. I recommend it to anyone who likes haunted houses.

The Legend of Bloody Mary
Yet another failed attempt to tell the story of bloody Mary that will leave you scared to look in the mirror anytime soon. This movie was badly shot, the characters were to rough edged and the script...wow, just plain awful. My advise to you? SKIP SKIP SKIP...trust me you will be glad you didn't waste your queue space. Another huge zero.

The Happening
M. Night Shyamalan WHAT where you thinking??? Don't get me wrong it's a great concept, and the message in the movie was quite clear. HOWEVER this movie lacks in MANY ways. The whole "out-run the wind thing" is a bit far fetched. Much like the movie "Signs" the end result is a let down and I found it hard to settle with. a fan of Walhburg and this movie illustrates why. Although it's not entirely his fault with a a script that came across like something a novice would write. All in all, it's just barely okay.

The Strangers
Not bad but totally not worth hype. Don't get me wrong, the story is great; the acting is pretty good too, but for me it wasn't scary or suspenseful enough to be called a thriller. The whole time I kept wondering when or if the terror/gore would start. Over all not a bad movie, but not as great as I was hoping for. Tyler and Speedman did well in there characters however there was some missing chemistry there for sure.

Wild Hogs
This was actually a bit better then I thought it was going to be. Macy is an absolute riot!!! Good chemistry with each other you can tell they were having fun. I'm not a big fan oh Travolta but thankfully this was a good enough movie that I didn't mind him. script and timing was great. I can see a lot of people enjoying this film not to mention that you can't help but laugh at this film. Good date movie, or guy night movie.

Brazil
A good film for those of us who can expand your mind around. There are two versions of this film and I will tell you that this on far supersedes the hacked up version. The movie is a bit odd and strange, but I think the because of that it stands alone in it's uniqueness. A memorable movie, But don't see this one as a favorite.

The Virgin Suicides
An amazing story about 4 beautiful sisters held under lock and key by their strict christian parents. After a couple of incidences the girls quickly become prisoners in their own home, where they are kept under the parents watchful eye. Unable to leave the house at all...not even for school the girls find ways to make it though the months in captivity. The ending is unforgettable and the story is transcending. The cast is perfect and the scripy is pure perfection. A MUST see.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
By far not the best Indiana Jones film, however it doesn't let the fans down. With Indy's quick wit, amazing knowledge, cheesy puns, and don't forget a whole LOT of action. Although the aging star was a bit too old for the role he filled many years ago, you have to give him credit for doing it one last time. A great ride, the plot and the action keep u riveted and on edge just like the old ones. Everyone should see this one if they have followed the series.

Them
After a not so original beginning,and a VERY slow start to this film, I finally gave up and resorted to the FF feature just so I could get through it without falling asleep. The subtitles didnt bother me but I know some people who would complain that you too busy reading to pay attention. This film was a disappointment, I only hope that the remake is better.

Pathology
Talk about crazy. These med students are doing more then determining cause of death. They are CAUSING the deaths. As the "game" heats up things start to spin out of control quickly and the lines between right and wrong suddenly seem to have changed for these characters. As the body count grows, soon they start to turn on each other, who will make it out alive? An interesting take, this one is a good watch but by no means a favorite.

Inspiracion
A cute boy meets girl movie. A story that follows a guy who meets a girl who becomes his inspiration to music. He falls for her quickly however does she care for him the way he does for her? Or will his love go on without reciprocation. A cute film, however not really a memorable one. Subtitles will scare some of you away from giving this one a go. Worth a watch if you don't have anything else in mind.

Sublime
I really enjoyed the ride this movie had for it's viewers. This film is so very very dark. The story is so spellbinding, and it's really hard to be sure what is real and what is not. From the family actions, to the people Mr Greives interacts with, it keeps you guessing and once you sucked into the mind burning question; "what is real and what is not?" You can do nothing but wait for the ending. Great stuff, gory, mind messing thrill ride.

Cars
A cute, fun, sometimes funny ride. The story has a great timeless lesson, and the characters are just adorable. Although I'm not a fan or racing, this movie sucks you in using memorable characters and a great script too. A GREAT family movie that anyone with a sense of humor can enjoy. Add this one to your list for family night.

The Shining
"Heeerrreee's Johnny!!" Stephen King at his best. By far the best horror ever. The kind that mess with your mind, involve children and imprint themselves in your brain. Jack is just astounding!!! Although Shelly (I honestly don't know WHY they picked her for the role she is just awful!!!) brings the film down a bit, Jack shines so bright you forgive and forget most of the time. A MUST MUST MUST see for all King, Horror or Nicholson fans. THE BEST!!!

Invasion of the Body Snatchers
I can see why people make such a fuss over this movie. I can see why it could be termed a classic, and I guess I can see why people talk about it as much as they do. However, I am not a fan of this movie. Although the concept for its time is original and unique, there is just something not quite amazing or overly memorable about this piece. I think that even though this one is by far not a favorite, every horror film lover should see this on at least once.

Poltergeist
Another horror, that for its time was one of the scariest out there. However for today's society it will just be marked as a classic but unfortunately doesn't bring a chill on the back of your neck like modern day films. Everyone should see this film though as it was one of the few greats of it's time that help make horror what it is today. A must Must see.

Leatherheads
A slow film that doesn't really ever grab momentum. An interesting story though about how football became the football we all know and love. Zellweger & Clooney are great together, couple play very well off one another and are easy to attach yourself to. I found myself drifting a bit through the film, as I stated the pace of this film is only one thing...slow. A good movie to watch if you like history, sports and a little tiny bit of romance. It's worth a watch on a rainy day or when your not sure what else to watch, however by no means should you rush for it.

Hairspray
Not as good at its predecessor by far but still very entertaining. The characters are fun and easy to attach yourself to. The songs and dance are really fun and vibrant. The big name stars of course bring this movie to a higher spot light but in my opinion still does not outshine the original version. Each are great in its own way however like I said the later is better. So if you ask whether I would recommend it? Well yes but only if your going to watch them both.

Legend: The Director's Cut
Wanna see Tom Cruise before he got a nose job? Okay no that not the ONLY reason to see this film. Although I don't see what is so great about his acting ability in this movie, I did have fun with it. It's perfectly innocent and yet dark as well. Cruise is a bit rough around the edges in my opinion, but I absolutely loved Curry in this film. He was great!!! The costuming and make up were really really well done, I was really impressed with those two things given the time of the film. Over all the story is cute and fun, a lot cheesy but still its nice to escape into a movie where good always wins and evil always sucks...haha..A good movie if you want to remember what it was like to watch a movie from the 80's and love every single thing about it.

You Don't Mess with the Zohan
Okay, so maybe I have come to expect to much from the Happy Madison/Adam Sandler movies. Maybe I am wrong in thinking that the comedy will be like the originals (the Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison & Click etc.). This movie is a complete spit in the eye of comedy. Everything in this film seems to be in bad taste and done is such a way that comes across immature and sometimes just plain NOT FUNNY. I usually find Sandler and the gang to bring at least a few chuckles to me during a movie, however this one...well I'm still waiting for a good laugh. Not something I would recommend anyone to see.

Farce of the Penguins
The comedy in this movie was a little lost on me, maybe because I wasn't a fan of the documentary in which it was spawned from? I don't know really. Just not enough in the film to really keep your attention long enough to call it watchable. I like Saget as a comedian but this one was just lost on me...maybe I am just missing something. Not one I would recommend.

Dark Planet
Sounds like an interesting story right? WRONG. The story is boring and lackluster. The acting is absolutely awful!! It's almost painful to watch most times. I found myself wondering was there ANYTHING satisfying about this movie? About a quarter of the way through it I finally gave up and resorted to watching the film in fast forward speed so that I could at least finish it without wanting to blow my brains out from boredom (okay maybe not that bad...but pretty close.) Skip this one...at all costs.

Made of Honor
A good chick flick for any woman to put on their list. However not the best one by any means. This movie although cute and enjoyable really is unremarkable. Other then a couple of funny parts, cute romance, and some nice eye candy, this movie will be chalked up as just another among many. Now, I'm not saying skip it, just be prepared for lack of originality in this one. Dempsey is REALLY nice to look at and fun to watch in the movie however I really didn't think he was well matched with Monaghan... she was good but I think he could have been paired with a better actress then her. For those of you who are going to see this movie watch out for grandma...you will get quite a few laughs out of her character. So over all this film is cute and mildly enjoyable but nothing to go running for, and for sure not to be any ones "favorite".

Love Guru
Your typical Mike Myers movie. Stupidly funny and sometimes just downright WRONG. Another installment of Myers wacky humor, strange antics and pointless story line. But none the less a fun ride although sometimes down right stupid. You have to check your brain at the door (just like all his other movies) and go along for the ride. Myers plays Pitka who is sent to the US to mend a broken marriage, but he has to do it before the big game. An entertaining movie but not one that will be overly memorable. A good one for a day when u need a mindless film that will make you laugh.

Return to House on Haunted Hill
I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed this movie. It seemed even DARKER then the two movies before it. The hidden truth about this house is to be revealed. A statue, and evil statue is hidden in the depths of the house. The effects are great and although the acting is okay the story grabs you and keeps you enthralled. The ending is great, and the way the people die in this movie are MUCH more creative and horrific. If you saw House On Haunted Hill and liked it then you really need to see this one too. Its guaranteed to make your skin crawl at least once and make you want to look away at some of the nasty scenes. A great movie for any "fright night".

Kabluey
A unique film about a guy who decides to help out his overwhelmed sister-in-law with her kids while his brother fights in Iraq. He starts out by helping out with the kids but then decides to get a job to help with the house. His little adventure begins when he is hired to be a mascot for a local company. He's is left on the side of an almost deserted stretch of road in a HUGE blue costume to hand out fliers to anyone who may come by. He has some interesting encounters and along the way discovers something about his sister-in-law. The story is interesting to say the least, a little slow though. Over all I am glad I saw it but don't see my self really recommending it or watching it again. If you like slow films with a bits of humor strung throughout then you might want to pop this one on your queue for a rainy day. No rush for sure.

Bloody Mary
Wow! This was just awful!!! I really like the whole concept of Bloody Mary so whenever I see anything related to that topic I usually jump on it. This is one I wish I had skipped. Just really really bad. From the bad acting, to the awful scripting, to the less the desirable ending. This film leaves a lot be desired. It's not very interesting and as people start to become fresh meat for the sinister Bloody Mary, the story just seems to lag and doesn't quite grab your attention like a horror movie should. I would recommend if anything to skip this film.

Death Note
Wow! I am impressed!! I really REALLY enjoyed this movie. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. This film follows Light, a guy who finds the book "Death Notes". This book now gives him the power to kill anyone, anywhere, anytime, or anyway he wants to simply by writing it down in its pages. He meets the death god (GREAT CGI, freaky looking guy really really good job), who is his companion through out his discoveries of his new power. But like with all powers it can be addictive and in this case make a good person become bad. Light starts out by using the new found power for good, but when he becomes suspected of the killings his actions soon take on a dark and evil plot. This is a great movie. I would really recommend this film to anyone who doesn't mind subtitles and is looking for a film with originality. A definite bump up in the queue for sure a top 5-10.

I'm Reed Fish
Story follows a local radio celebrity who takes over his dad's radio show. He gets engaged to his girlfriend and not soon after his old high school flame returns to town. Things get a bit crazy as old feelings are stirred up and some people are soon caught in compromising situations. Reed finds himself second guessing his engagement as well as the old feelings that have come back at the site of his ex. He needs to make a choice but the question is will he make the right choice before its to late? This is a cute movie, a good waste of time. Nothing memorable about it really. This is a good movie for the ladies who have nothing on their queue that looks overly attractive at the moment. A good filler but nothing to bump up in your queue for.

Masters of Horror: Season 1: Vol. 4: Disc 1: Takashi Miike: Imprint
This movie is very slow for starters. Which is kind of odd for a horror film. The story follows a reporter looking for "his" courtesan. When he arrives however he finds another courtesan who begins to tell him the story of what happened to his lover. The story turns gruesome and horrific as it makes it's way to the end. Some scenes including aborted babies which I'm sure for some will be hard to see. Other scenes reminded me a bit of "Hellraiser" ( I don't want to give it away but you will know what I mean if you watch it). This movie over all has really bad acting, and not the best script however the flashbacks take your attention away from it for the most part. The "twist" at the end is a little TOO far fetched to satisfy the "why?" of the plot, but at least it doesn't leave you guessing. Over all not a great film, nothing I would call memorable. No rush for this in any ones queue.

Butterfly Kiss
What on EARTH is the point of this film? Other then a perfectly good waste of anyones time, not to mention attention. The plot is empty, boring and just akward. Kept hoping that it would go somewhere but it never did. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

House on Haunted Hill
Wow! Horror movies sure have come a long way from this one. Granted Price is the ultimate favorite for any horror film but lets face it, the skeleton on strings, the rat thrown into acid, the ghostly woman who moves on a moving platform of some kind. Very rough , but I can see how back in the day it would have been considered truly scary. Oh my and all the screaming. So much screaming, don't think I have seen a movie that had one woman scream so much in a 2 hour period. This original is VERY different from it's new version and since I have seen the newest one first I have to admit I did like that one better. However I have to give credit to the original for getting the whole thing started to begin with. Although I haven't figured out how it went from a wine basement to a mental hospital...hmmm. A good movie to take a peek at if your into the history of horror films, but not one that will have you raving anytime soon about how it kept you up all night.

Phantasm
Boy was this an awful movie. I can't believe that some people think that this is a good horror film. Okay granted it might have been in its time, however now its just very dated and just NOT scary. The acting is just plain BAD and the script isn't well written either. The effects (which for it's time, I'm sure was impressive) leave lots to be desired. The whole thing is just really badly done in my opinion. I don't think I would really recommend this to anyone, other then to say if you like to see what old horror films defined as scary. Other then that...skip this one.

The Seventh Sign
Despite the not so great acting, I really enjoyed this movie. The story was quite strong and easy to get into, although the dialogue was sometimes almost painful to listen to. Moore plays a pregnant woman who finds out that her baby will actually bring about the end of the world. Her new tenant informs her that her baby will be the last seal to bring about the Apocalypse. She scrambles to find away to change the course of the set path in motion. The ending is pretty good but could be better. Overall a good ride. Worth a gander if you haven't already. A top 20 or so in the queue.

Whisper
Wow! This movie was just AWFUL! The acting was terrible, the story was boring, and the ending was anything BUT noteworthy. The movie comes across a bit like the Omen, however the only similarities are the dogs and an evil boy. After Ex Con (Holloway) and crew kidnap a little boy from his wealthy home. They soon discover that THEY are the ones in danger...and not from the cops or the boys mother, but from their young hostage. As they are picked off one by one, and a twist is revealed and the story draws to a close, I still found myself thinking this movie was lack luster and unfulfilling. I wouldn't recommend this film to anyone as its really a waste of time.

Restraint
This movie has a lot of potential to be a half way enjoyable film...however...its not. I can't quite put my finger on what exactly it is that makes this film flop but it just seems to fall short of its goal very early in the film. The two criminals are a bit to uneven in character and the hostage is almost to wooden to become attached to. Granted the ending is a nice little twist however as a viewer I was still left with the where is the drive/pull of this film? Would I recommend this film? No definitely not. Skip it you will be glad you did.

The Illusionist
I really enjoyed this movie, a lot more then I had anticipated. I was afraid it would be a lot like the Prestige but this movie...although a slightly similar subject is VERY different. It is quick to pull you in and doesn't let you go until the very end. Norton & Biel are great together and Sewell although not a favorite of mine did a pretty good job as well. All in all this film was original and a good ride to experience. I would recommend this one for sure. A top 15-20 for any queue.

The Lookout
This is a surprisingly good movie. Better then the description but not super great. The film follows a young man who was injured in a car accident, killing two of his friends. After the accident he suffers brain damage and although he is sill able to funtion mostly people in the town treat him completely different. He gets a job as a janitor at a bank and is soon drawn into a bank robbery scheme. After planning the big night finally arrives and things don't go as planned at all. Shoot outs and lots of blood later...well you will see. A pretty decent movie, worth a look at but no rush. A top 20 or so.

Baby Mama
Funny movie! Great movie for the ladies out there. The comedy in this film is a riot! Fey & Poehler are a great pair. Weaver looks spectacular in this movie and even though she only makes a few appearances in the film she is quite humorous. Story is about a woman who wants to have a baby and after several attempts on her own she seeks a surrogate. The two are like night and day and after several tiffs with one another the start to become friends...until...well I don't want to give it away but its really a good ending a bit cheesy but still good. Make sure you watch the bloopers & deleted scenes for a REALLY good laugh. Top 10 on the queue for the ladies.

The Day the Earth Stood Still
After watching this film I can see why it is deemed an all time classic. Although the film is quite dated in theories and thoughts the message of this film is timeless. The story follows a "humaniod" and his robot companion as they arrive on earth in Washington DC to warn the earth of its impending doom if it does not change its destructive ways. Although I found the fact that Rennie's character was so quickly fluent in the English language, and that the robot was...well lets face it the robot was a little hard to believe, this film was still interesting. Many things in this film make it dated but the quality of the acting and the story make it very easy to forget and in some ways appreciate it a bit more. Over all? Well I think everyone should take a look at it...give it a shot anyway. I can see why it won't be for everyone though.

Mystic River
Wow! Having seen this film for the first time I was completely blown away by how good it was. 3 childhood friends are linked together after Penn's daughter is found dead. The pursuit for the killer is hot and fast. However Penn eventually decides to take matters into his own hands...that the law is just not moving fast enough. Robbins questionable life and past have him soon listed as a suspect and Bacon scrambles to find proof. A great movie that will leave you breathless at the end. I can see why people say this one is an all time must see. If you haven't already you should most definitely see it. Top 10 to anyones queue.

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
An enjoyable film. Surprisingly a bit better then I thought it would be. Not something for most men to watch a but to much of a chick flick most times. The who story revolves around Guinevere who is mistaken for an assistant for a day and finds her life completely changed from then on. A bit funny at times a little crazy at others but all in all a good ride. Not one I would HIGHLY recommend but a good one to eventually see. Maybe a top 20 or so.

Van Helsing
A good movie, however not a great one. The characters are interesting and unique, however the story...not so much. A mix of several folk lores combined into one. The CGI is good in this film however sometimes its seems there is so much of it, it takes away from the film more then adds. Jackman & Beckinsale are a good pair although some of the scenes and dialoge are a bit "rough". The twist...if you will call it that is interesting but most definitely not entirely memorable. A good movie for any vampire movie lover but not a great one. No rush for sure.

Cold Creek Manor
Awful movie, from start to finish. Stone is just an awful actress and I usually like Quaid but the script and story seem so rough it is hard to gain an attachment. Dorff makes a great bad guy as we all know but in this film he is dull and boring because the script and story are so predictable. The lines are almost painful at times to listen, as they come across like something a first year film student would write. Nothing scary, nothing memorable, nothing worth seeing. Skip it ...not even good as a filler.

The Prestige
WOW!!! I liked this movie a LOT more then I anticipated. I thought that it would be just another over hyped movie with a common story...but WOW!!! I don't want to give anything away because it was just so good! Jackman & Bale are breathtaking in this film, which really shouldn't be a surprise since both of them are so very good. I will admit at first I couldn't really get into the story as it starts out a bit slow but as it unfold you are quickly dragged into it and never let go. The ending is superb and just really really WOW! I would recommend this film to anyone who likes a good story. A top ten on any ones queue.

The Life Before Her Eyes
I really enjoyed this film. Not a happy film by any means but its just...really good. The story follows a survivor of a school shooting played by Thurman. The 15th anniversary only emphasizes the fact that she is not yet over the tragedy of her best friends death. The movie follows her life through flashbacks and present. Answering questions as you go along. It is a rather slow paced movie but I did not find myself getting bored at all. The movie makes the powerful statement that choices you make can effect your life FOREVER. Great film. In my opinion a top 10-15 in the queue for sure, a movie you will not easily forget.

Quid Pro Quo
Strange film about a wheelchair-bound guy who meets a "wannabe amputee" who begin a relationship over there odd obsessions. His for the ability to walk hers for the ability to be in a wheelchair. The story unravels as Isaac discovers a "magical" pair of shoes which causes a rift between him and Fiona. I don't want to give any of it away but it is kind of an interesting story. The ending in particular, didn't see it coming really. I would say this is a good movie for when you don't have anything else to watch. No "top" of anything for your queue, a good "filler".

The Secret
This movie is a little strange...okay a lot strange. A mother and teen daughter get into a car accident and the although the mother dies, her spirit takes over her daughters body. Leaving everyone confused and wondering HOW anything like that could even happen. Duchovny ends up having to deal with his wife in his young daughters body (which is a little weird in a lot of ways). The story winds and turns and is for the most part not very eventful. Kinda like "Freaky Friday" with a bit of a twist. Interesting film but nothing great. Not something I would rush for but might be worth a watch if you have nothing else to see. Really not impressive even then though.

Prom Night
BAD BAD BAD movie! The acting is disgraceful and the script is even worse. The "killer" is just pain silly, and the killings are just so very cheesy and lame. The "scary" scenes were not even close to suspenseful and the actors just made the movie seem like it was written by a really bad writer. I ask this question over and over and this film makes me ask it once again...."Where have all the good scary movies gone?" I would recommend that you skip this film, because even if you have nothing else to watch...its better then watching this.

Kentucky Fried Movie
A Great all time funny film featuring many random clips. A little dated at times but most is just a riot of comedy. Having not seen this movie before (yes I know how is that possible) I wasn't really sure what to expect. There was some comedy that wasn't funny but hey that happens all the time anyway. I would say that if you like spoofs and slapstick you should see this its pretty good. If your not into that kind of comedy then I wouldn't bother. A top 20 on your queue for sure.

Alice
A very disturbing version of "Alice In Wonderland". Too disturbing for children. Not to mention for some adults such as myself. The effects are grotesque in movement and style which I'm sure for the time was not as bad as it appears today. Too rough and slow paced to really enjoy let alone watch all the way through. I seriously don't know anyone I WOULD recommend this film to. Not worth the watch in my opinion.

Reno 911!: Miami
If you like the show you will like the movie. Stupid and downright ridiculous at times. For those of us who like slap stick comedy this is almost a step beyond that...it makes even LESS sense. If that makes sense. Not a movie I personally would recommend watching. As this one really makes me feel like my IQ dropped 10 points after watching, not to mention the need to take a shower. Some of the stuff is just gross! Overall my hubby got some chuckles out of it but I did not really find it amusing. Would not recommend this film to anyone unless you are a fan of the show.

Tin Man
I LIKED this movie. It was fun! It was interesting, and it was DEFINITELY different. Despite the somewhat bad acting and the not so great effects. Over all this movie was a lot of fun. The story follows that of the "Wizard Of Oz" however with completely different characters and situations. A great little mini series that follows the main character DG through OZ to find her missing parents and the story behind the life she doesn't remember, and the sisters she never knew she had. I really liked it and although I don't think I would buy it I will not be surprised if I have the urge to see it again. A must see but not a terrible rush. Maybe top 15 on your queue.

Sunshine
A GREAT film. This movie follows humanity's last hope on it's journey to the sun. Why? Because the sun...is dying. After sending up a ship and losing contact they have sent up one last ship. the crew encounter many problems along the way, as well the unexpected finding of the "lost" ship. The story quickly unfolds as the debate whether to go get the lost ship or whether to continue on. The decision that will change the fate of the crew and the mission. What follows is a fast paced adventure that leaves you completely breathless and maybe even wanting more. Great film that I think is a must see for any sci fi adventure lover. A top 10 on the queue for sure!

Hogfather
There is a lot of potential in this film, however it never meets it even half way. The dialog is rough the characters are just plain boring and the script is just mind numbing at times. Its suppose to be how the great Hogfather has disappeared because Mr. Teatime has decided to put to work a very bad plan. Blah blah blah. Sounds more interesting then it really it. The whole idea of a fantasy world, good and evil all been done before so I will be honest I thought this one might have something a bit different and enjoyable....it didn't. Maybe the book is better?! Don't see this movie...trust me! You will be glad that you didn't.

Nim's Island
Really disappointing. This looks like such a good movie. However it takes sooooo long to get going that, by the time it does its already over. I don't like really anything about this movie other then the fact that Gerard was in it. Other then that I felt that the story was boring. What has happend to Foster's acting ability by the way? Did she lose it somewhere? Breslin is sweet and cute but there is just something not right about this film altogether. In my opinion, don't see this film. It's not worth the queue space.

August Rush
A sweet heart enriching film about a small boy who's love for music spawns from the parents he never met. Highmore plays August Rush who has an amazing gift for music. He escapes his orphanage and lives on the street where Williams finds him and tries to take advantage of the gift. A little to "feel goody" at times over all but a nice movie. Very far-fetched as well. But as long as you can shut off your brain and believe in the impossible its a good film. One you will most likely remember for a long time whether you really like it or just thought it was okay. A top 20 in your queue for sure.

Shutter
A lot better then the original this film is kind of like "The Ring" in some ways. A newlywed couple who recently moved to another country have a car accident. Supposedly hitting a woman. After that night things begin to appear in photographs that cannot be explained. The story unravels as the wife begins to find out more and more about the pictures and who is trying to communicate with her..and most importantly...why!? The ending is GREAT absolutely loved it. A good movie overall not an all time great or anything but a good waste of time. Top 20 in your queue if anything.

Journey to the Center of the Earth
This is an absolutely awful film. There is no "action" to speak of and the acting and script is so dull you have to fight to stay with it. Not worth the fight either. I found myself wondering when it would get good...and it NEVER did. This is an awful film...Don't bother.

The Haunting of Marsten Manor
The first scene of this movies acting makes you think that you are in a junior high production. The script and acting are so awful that its almost painful to watch. Also for a blind girl...This girl is the worst. Everything about this film reeks amature. Not worth the watch. Skip this one at all costs.

Doomsday
I REALLY enjoyed this movie. It was gory, it was graphic, it was adventurous and it has a LOT of action too. The unrated is really graphic (I will warn you it shows quite a bit pertaining to cannibalism, so be warned). I was actually surprised how MUCH it showed. The main character Eden is really very good I enjoyed her as well as the rest of the cast. It is strange how it is a lot like Mad Max & 28 Days Later, however its unique to itself as well. I would recommend this film to anyone looking for a good action movie. A Great film over all.

The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe
By no means is this film even CLOSE to as good as the original. A much anticipated sequel that I am pretty sure will leave many disappointed. But given that good horror movies are so hard to find anymore this one isn't as bad as some of the the other latest released. Some of it was actually quite good the special effects were pretty good lots of blood too. The acting could have been a bit stronger but it wasn't too bad. Over all an average film that won't leave any lasting impressions but will at least be entertaining for a little over an hour.

Over Her Dead Body
A cute chick film about a guy and a girl who are about to get married. However the bride (Longoria) dies suddenly before the wedding. Henry (Rudd) is left in a bit of shambles not sure what do to his friend suggest trying to contact her in hopes of getting him to move on. Enter Ashley (Bell), after a few of things happen Ashley & Henry are drawn to one another and the story unfolds quickly. Its a cute film and at some points a bit cheesy. However I did find it cute. Although Kate (the dead bride) does kind of get on my nerves, not sure if its the character or the actress herself. Overall though I am glad I saw this film it was cute and at some parts a little funny but overall nothing to rave about however. Average..No Rush.

The Ruins
I was totally surprised how much I liked this movie. Given the beginning it seems predictable and the script is just PAINFUL at times. The acting leaves a lot to be desired but somehow the story and effects were strong enough to keep me watching. Once the story starts and people start to become victims, the movie grabs hold and never lets go. The only other "problem" I would say that there is really no explanation for the plant...its just...there. Would have liked to had a back story on that. Otherwise overall not bad. Worth a look but no rush.

Definitely, Maybe
Disappointing, not anything like I had expected. The little girl made me a bit uncomfortable with some of the conversations. Maybe its just me but wow! I didn't think it was at all enjoyable, as it wasn't funny like I was hoping and it wasn't as romantic as I thought it would be either. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

Penelope
One of the cutest movies I have seen in a LONG time. Ricci & McAvoy are really enjoyable to watch in this film not to mention O'Hara is really funny. This is really a refreshing film. A story of a girl sheltered from everyday life by a worrisome mother and father. But she escapes into the world hiding her identity from others wanting to live a normal life. The story is cute, funny and just plain sweet. Not your oh so typical fairy tale. My husband even liked it! Good date movie as well as good chick flick all around fun. Go get this one as soon as you can you will be glad you did. I promise!

Vantage Point
I was really surprised how at how much I LIKED this movie. I didn't really think that I would. It was really good. Different. I will tell u if u don't like movies that jump around u will most likely not like this film. The characters are great and the small amount of time you get to know them you are very quickly drawn in and the movie NEVER lets you go. I don't want to give anything away but as the facts are reveled you can't help but be excited to know more. I was on the edge of my seat the entire ride that is this movie. This is a definite MUST see.

House of Voices
Wow!! This movie was very interesting. I really enjoyed it a lot. A little confusing along the way definitely scary or at least suspenseful. I know that I found myself jumping a couple of times or hiding behind my pillow afraid to look. The ending was a bit surprising to me, not sure why but it was. I didn't really know what I was looking for in this film so went in with no expectations, I'm glad cause I really liked it. I don't want to give anything away but the basics is a young girl gets pregnant and is sent to an almost abandoned orphanage. The story quickly unfolds as she discovers the ghost that inhabit the place. A good movie, worth a look nothing to rush for though.

Pray For Morning
Great idea for a movie but the acting is more fitted for the adult film then a regular one. The script is just awful and the story quickly becomes predictable and cheesy. The "effects" are even worse. I didn't really like much about this film and I would recommend that if your looking for a GOOD horror...keep looking cause this is NOT it.

Superhero Movie
Where have all the good spoofs gone? Yet another failed attempt to make fun of some of the new superhero movies. The comedy is well fit for pre-teens I guess and not for the more mature crowd. However the comedy of this film is so bad at times its almost painful to watch. Skip this one.

Youth Without Youth
No matter HOW hard I tried to like this movie, I just could NOT bring myself to that point. Such great potential and although it seems interesting from the synopisis. The film doesn't grab you, there is just something missing. Not worth the view.

Forgiving the Franklins
This film has a lot of possiblity but falls flat. The characters are a bit too blah and boring and the script needs a good boost as well. I found myself very disappointed in how this movie could not get my attention, let alone keep it. Not worth the view.

The Dark Knight
THE BEST BATMAN MOVIE EVER!!!!! Ledger is absolutely the MOST AMAZING character in this film. Everything about this film is SUPERB! But Ledger shines! The entire story and cast meld together so well that the 2 1/2 hours fly by so quickly. Its quickly grabs hold of you from the opening scene and NEVER lets you go. Some of the scenes are just incredible the effects are spectacular. The bits of mixed comedy is GREAT, well placed and timed perfectly. Oldman & Bale as well as everyone else is spectacular in their roles but by far there is only one who truly shines. I truly believe that this movie would have taken Heath to a whole new level. This is a VERY dark film considering past DC films, much more hard core violence. This film is just....THE BEST!!! So worth the long line and the crowded theater. RUN for this film as fast as you can. You will love EVERY second of it.

Jumper
Not as good as its made out to be. Its not as fast paced and fun as it looks from the previews. I expected more. The effects were great the acting was nothing to write home about but it wasn't awful either. The story follows a guy who realizes he has the power to jump to any place on earth at any time. However NSA is hot on his tail and he soon finds himself in way over his head. Jackson plays the lead NSA agent who is ruthless and determined to bring Christensen's character "justice". Of course things are more complicated as Davey's new girlfriend is thrown in the mix and now her life is also in danger. The ending leaves a lot of loose ends but its seems to me that is because there is more to come. Overall... a good film...but nothing great. A top 15-20 on the queue.

Teeth
What a messed up movie. Laughable just from the synopsis...which is why I wanted to see it. However this is just REALLY messed up! Weixler plays a virgin high school student who is raped by her new boyfriend. But the table is turned because his member gets bitten off my her vagi*a...or rather...the toothed vagi*a. VERY laughable (for the ladies at least; may be a bit painful for the men to watch) as this poor girl is tricked and deceived over and over again but always gets even by removing the member of her attackers and deceivers. The script is okay the acting is horrible and the effects...well just laughable. Worth seeing? Not really...Unless you take advantage of the "Instant Watch" feature....and your really bored.

The Spiderwick Chronicles
An interesting film which follows a trouble making twin who discovers a book that has been hidden in the attic. Upon discovering the book weird little creature begin to appear and another world unfolds. Highmore character soon find himself and his family in danger when the evil tolls try to get a-hold of the book. The story travel very quickly as the three children battle against evil to save the creatures not to mention the world. A cute film that will definitely keep the little ones entertained. Pretty good C.G.I and story is cute. Not really destined to be a favorite (in my opinion) but a good family night film. A top 15-20 on your queue for sure.

Comedy Express Presents: Al Ducharme: Spineless and Lovin' It
This guy is REALLY funny!!! Never heard of him before till I saw this film. Great sound effects great material. A little cheesy maybe but it WILL make u laugh... the marriage material/ and kid stuff is a riot. If your in the mood to laugh but dont know what to watch...check this one out.

Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs
To all the Futurama fans!!! I am sorry but this film SUCKED!!! Where has all the Futurama humor gone???? This was 90 minutes of, hoping for something funny to happen. Not at all what we have come to know and love from our beloved Futurama cast and writers. We were so disappointed as we loved the show and some of the films that have come out after it however this one just plane bad. Skip this one... you will be glad you did.

Meet the Spartans
What the HECK IS THIS CRAP!?!?!? What happened to the Scary Movie humor??? This is NOT the same caliber as Scary Movie by any means. This film was so very very very BAD... I wanted to throw IT into the Pit Of Death...ughhh. I just didn't get any of this it seemed more geared for immature teens rather then have any kind of point or true comedy. Sad Sad Sad...where have all the good spoofs gone?? Skip this one trust me you will be SOOOO glad you did.

Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show
Sorely disappointing. All I could think was WHERE did he get these guys?? Okay so some of them were kinda funny but seriously? If I had paid to see them...I wouldn't have been overly ecstatic about it. This film is a LOT like Dane Cook's "Tourgasm" which follows a group of comedians as they travel across the country on a comedy tour. This one is not NEARLY as good as Cook's however. I like Vaughn as an actor but watching him on stage was almost painful at some points. Really not worth the watch or space in my book. If you wanna see it watch it on "instant watch" only...don't waste your queue space...Seriously...you will be glad you did.

Awake
Wow!!! I was actually surprised by this one!!!! I mean seriously I didn't think that what happen would really happen. I can't say that any of the acting in this film was outstanding but the story and pace of the film takes your mind completely off any of that. There are a few spots where it drags a bit but the ending!! It might just be me but Ohhhh It Is Sooooo Goooood!!! Its not really a scary movie (to any of u who may entertain that), this movie is definitely a thriller through and through. I really liked it and I'm glad I saw it For your queue, I would say a top 25 or so.

Persepolis
Interesting black and white film fallowing a small girl from child to adult through the uprisings and war of Iran during the late 70's. The some of the visuals in this film are very vivid and stick with you long after the film is over. Marjane's parents eventually send her to France to escape the repressing life she is surrounded by. She returns years later to lead out her life with Iraq still dealing with many political issues and unrest. This was a good film, not for everyone however. It is all subtitled and if your not much for black and while drawing all of this film may be lost on you. The point of this film is very clear and very well stated. Very depressing to think what these people are going through and what they have went through as well. A good film for the adventurous/open-minded film watcher.

Grace Is Gone
WOW!!! What a movie. John Cusack will blow you away. His portrayal as a recently widowed father of two is just AMAZING. The film follows this devoted father as he battles for a way to tell his girls that their mother is never coming home from Iraq. This film is moving and in so many ways beautiful. The pure truth of what military family go through hits home hard and makes you a little more grateful for what you have. This is one of those movies that will stay with you long after you have seen it. A must see a great great film not to be missed. A top ten on any queue.

Green Card
WOW!! I can't believe there are actually POSITIVE reviews for this film!?! This filme is in no way shape or form a GOOD romance. This film is down right BORING. Not to mention the characters are unintersting and dull. A waste of time and space. Do NOT bother with this film. Trust me you will be GLAD you did.

That Thing You Do!
A fun feel good movie. The sound track is really great to. I love this movie every second of it. You follow a small unknown band (The Wonders) from start to Stardom. But like most bands as quickly as they rise is as quickly they will fall. Its funny its fun its nice too look at too. Its even got some romance thrown it as well. Tyler is her ever beautiful self and although I am not a big fan of Hanks I can't say anything about him in this film. Good movie thing you should see it. No rush but don't be surprised if you suddenly have the urge to go back to the 60's.

Fool's Gold
"Eye Candy" film which follows Ben & Tess on a search for lost treasure with the help of a wealthy financier played by Sutherland. They fight the bad guys and they fight each other (Tess and Ben I mean), and in the end all's well that ends well. Another turn your brain off film. Pure entertainment and fun. Not destined to be a favorite but not one that you would consider a great waste of time. Not a film to rush for, not a film to avoid at all costs either. Maybe a top 10-15 in your queue.

The Other Boleyn Girl
A great film. I was actually surprised how MUCH I liked this movie. I was prepared for the fiction of this film to be to far fetched to be of any enjoyment, however they I was captivated by the characters and the storyline and the stunning costuming. Portman plays the famous Anne Bolyen who after being told to win the kinds affection fails in the shadow of her younger sister Mary (Johansson). As the story unfold Anne is shipped off and Mary gets pregnant by the King. Anne is brought back to distract the King from the pregnancy and soon find herself the new object of his affections. Soon the entire Boleyn family is in a lot of trouble and the story quickly heads for the grim ending. This is a very good movie...just don't be too judgmental on the inaccuracies and you will enjoy it to. I would say put this one in your top 10 for sure.

The Mist
Okay as a big King fan, I once again find myself disappointed in yet another film. Okay so its about this town that gets this mist that spreads over the entire area. A large group of people get stuck at the local grocery store. People are being ripped apart by an unknown creature but no one knows who or what it is or where its coming from. A people begin to loose patience and others over come with fear the battle begins as to WHAT to do. The ending...in my opinion without giving anything away... SUCKS!!! I felt like I did when I saw "It". This is it?! This is what 2 hours gets me? I really didn't like it and I wouldn't recommend it to any true King fan. Hope the book is better this this is.

Funny Games
Sadistic is an understatement...down right disturbing at times to say the least. This movie follows a typical rich family as they head to their mansion size cabin for a little r&r Soon Peter & Paul arrive to take them hostage for a night of degrading and sadistic torment. All for a "funny game" The couple and their young son are a subjected to many twisted games and all they can do is submit to the two captures. A short film but its very well done. It has a very REAL quality to it. I wouldn't say its GREAT but definitely interesting. A good one for if your not sure what you want to watch.

The Signal
Strange film about a signal that is being transmitted everywhere. Causing people to loose all logical thought and also causing them to kill and hate and just plain go NUTS. So you follow a cheating wife as she leaves her lover to tell her husband that she is leaving him. Only to find the signal has gotten to him. Her husband goes into a murding rage because he feels that everyone is trying to hurt his wife. Killing his friends and everyone he comes in contact with. Some of this film is downright funny (is a sadistic sort of way). As the signal spreads the murders do as well. Friends are killing friends and wives killing husbands and on and on and on. Interesting...not the best film ever but certainly interesting. I think I would say that this is a good movie to watch when u can't find anything else.

The Eye
I really don't' know WHY I bother watching anything with Alba in it. This film has a lot of promise and potential but is drug down by Alba character. She plays a blind cellist who when receiving an eye transplant starts to see ghost and other supernatural things. She things she is going crazy but as the story progresses she begins to piece the things together. Great potential but falls flat in many many ways. This film just doesn't seem to snag your attention long enough to let u enjoy it. I would skip this one for sure. No need to waste your time.

Saawariya
I keep asking myself how is THIS a all time romance? This movie is awful!!!! I must admit I couldn't get though 30 minutes of it till I had to start fast-forwarding. The dialog is boring and contrite. The acting was VERY bad as well. The lip singing was so bad it was VERY obvious. The only positive thing I could say about the film is that it was very pretty. The set was very vivid and nice to look at but that is IT. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

P.S. I Love You
The BEST Romance film I have EVER seen. This movie is all about true love. It will make you laugh it will make you cry it will leave you happy and wanting to watch it over and over again. I don't want to give anything away but this movie is for all hopeless romantics and for those of us who believe in true love. Every character is amazing you fall for them instantly and are captivated by the story and script that 127 minutes FLY BY. This is a number one in your queue. It belongs in your movie collection. This is INCREDIBLE!! Go get this one NOW!!!

Untraceable
Okay so this film is basically about a crazy murderer who is not only going around killing people but also putting it on the net. Not ONLY is he putting it on the net BUT he is using his viewers as "the trigger". The more people watch...the faster they die. The battle against time begins and Lane along with fellow FBI Agents scramble to figure out the who the what and the where. As the stories hit the media the more popular the site becomes and soon people are dying in minutes simply because viewers cannot look away. It reminded me a lot of a soft core Saw. Gruesome but doesn't mess with you mind nearly as much. I found Lane to be almost boring to watch. She didn't seem to be to eager in her role, which obviously hurt the film a bit. I wouldn't say this is a good or great film. Nor is it bad. Its decent...I would say no rush...watch it when u get it...and even then don't get your hopes up to high. NOT for the squeamish.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets
Blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda....This is the pace of this entire film. Starts out rough and just keeps going downhill from there. I found myself hoping that it would get better like the first 'National Treasure'. Unlike the first film this one fails to grab your interest and keep it, I can't really put a finger on exactly WHY that is but what I CAN tell you is that there is just too much stuff that doesn't make sense or is just to strangely placed. It feels like this film was just to quickly put together or something along that line to make it possible to really enjoy. I would say skip this film its really not worth the time.

Cloverfield
Wow! Strange filming technique. I can see why people were getting sick on it. I really enjoyed it though. VERY interesting. I love the effects, the drama, the story it self. The actors are all unknown so it really made it a lot more believable. J.J Abrams is brilliant! Although we knew that already. Only problems I had with this film is the ending...wondering if there will be a second...maybe to explain something that are never truly answered. The aliens or Godzilla like creature just pops in from basically nowhere...so your going through the movie wondering well "what the heck is it DOING here anyway?!" Great, great job all around. A truly memorable film. One that I would recommend to anyone with a Strong stomach for rocky cameras.

Iron Man
I was pleasantly surprised by this film. To be honest I really thought that Robert would not be well suited for this film. Although he was actually really really well placed. Paltrow was a charming and sweet as always and fresh air though out the films evil plots and action drama. I will tell you that the film does seem to lag in some places but pics up quickly with some comedy and adventure. I was SHOCKED to see Bridges as a bad guy let alone a very much OLDER bad guy (Wow has he aged). The soundtrack to this film is great..nothing like Ozzy for a theme. Iron Man of course. All in all this film was a lot of fun and I'm glad I took the chance on this one...I will even venture to say I liked it BETTER then Superman & Spiderman by far. Check it out!

Shutter
Not impressed...okay so there were a couple of good creepy scenes..some that were pretty gross too but all in all...not memorable. The scripting seemed so badly done, but then again most translations make it a little odd anyway. I don't have much to really say about this one. Didn't hate it but didn't love it either. I most likely wouldn't recommend it either. I'm hoping that the remake will be better then this one...maybe less of a copy cat to the Ring & the Grudge....we will see.

The Brave One
Ughhh where has Foster's talent gone? Seems like since "Panic Room" she hasn't been able to fill a role as well as she use to. This film has a good story behind it but Foster's lack of portrayal seems to dampen the film quickly and permanently. I found it hard to watch and even harder not to shut it off. A real disappointment to any Foster fan and to anyone who was really interested in this film to begin with. Skip this one...you will be glad you did.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age
One of the best Elizabeth I films I have seen in a long time. Blanchett is spectacular in her role, and the well deserved attention she got from it too. The costuming in this film is breath-taking and just plain fabulous! Owens plays the dashing Sir Walter Raleigh who's intent though out the film is to please the queen. However in doing so he falls for the queens closest companion and trouble begins. The entire film is the beautiful and well put together. The scripting is never boring and the images are those you will always remember. This film touches are more of the war then that of previous films and I really liked how well it was presented. I would recommend this film to any Elizabeth I fan or even a history lover. You will most definitely enjoy this one.

27 Dresses
This movies is ADORABLE! I absolutely loved it! From beginning to end it was the perfect film for all soon to be brides or ANYONE who has been a brides maid. The comedy was great, the acting superb and although the chemistry between Marsden & Heigl was not the best it was not so noticeable with there great acting. This movie is ALL things wedding. From dress fittings, to cake, to tossing the bouquet. The movie stars Heigl as a women who has been in 27 weddings! She is a pro at the wedding "stuff" and when her younger sister gets engaged to her boss (and someone she was interested in). All *ell breaks loose. With Heigl's sister becoming the ultimate bride-zilla and Heigl being hounded by Marsden, Heigl finally snaps and things get interesting. So over all this movie was just incredibly fun and definitely one for the girls night out not to mention for your home collection. This one is for sure top 5 or 10 in your queue list if not number 1.

One Missed Call
Great idea...but bad acting, bad script and just plain boring dialog. Very disappointed in this film. Yet another "horror" film gone wrong. There is no real suspense. Plus some of the things in the movie just didn't make ANY sense at all.. It was just very badly put together and not worth the watch...maybe the original Japanese version is better?! Skip this one...you will be glad you did.

The Orphanage
Strange film. Not exactly sure how I feel about this one. It was a little creepy in parts but mostly not so much. Laura buys the old orphanage that she grew up in until she was adopted. Her son begins seeing other children and her husband doens't want to stay there any longer especially when their son turns up missing the mystery ensues and she battles to find her son and why he has been taken and WHO has taken him. The ending is a little out there but I guess for some it will be satisfactory. For people who do not like subtitles aviod this film as it is all in French. Otherwise if your looking for a horror...this is barly in that catigory...MAYBE suspense but not really...maybe more of a drama in my opinion. Nothing to rush for here. Use the Instant watch on this one...so u don't waste a rental.

The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising
A combination of Harry Potter & Zelda (the game). Weird I know but it has a lot of similarities through out the film. A young boy Will learns he is the last paladin who can defeat "the Rider". Time travel quickly ensues and he searches through time for the pieces of the puzzle that will help him in the final battle. As he soon discovers he had a twin who was taken when they were babies. No one knows where his twin brother went or what happened to him, this element adds a little more to the story but nothing astounding. I liked this movie, however I will say that its not one that will have u on the edge of your seat with anticipation. I did like some of the different characters but overall it falls into the average category...another filler.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
Amazing well done film. A great piece. Although this film is dark/depressing I still found myself wanting to know more. Finney has not lost his touch he is a brilliant actor and I enjoy him on the screen. Hawke & Hoffman do a awesome job as two out of control brothers looking to make an easy score. When things go bad..and I mean VERY bad...the movie turns almost chaotic at times. With feelings and emotions wrapped and sprung loose. Amazing well done. Unforgettable ending. I loved this film, I am glad I saw it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great drama that you will not soon forget. A top 10 at least.

The Darjeeling Limited
I cannot write much about this film as I gave up on it about 30 minutes into it. I just could NOT get into this movie. Too much seemingly pointless dialog. The characters were not ones of which you would be able to attach to in anyway, to odd and peculiar. The "comedy" if there was any was lost on me. I just couldn't get drawn into this one. My opinion if your really bored and have nothing to watch...maybe this one...but only maybe

Goya's Ghosts
A period piece, set back in the French Revolution era. A painter causes a young girl to be deemed a heretic by the church. She is imprisoned for 20 years. While in captivity a priest (Bardem) comes to visit her. After several visits and since he has been unable to get Ine's out Bardem's character is punished by her family and he too is claimed a heretic. He flees the country quickly. Ine's is finally freed by the French who have taken over and she now is looking for her daughter whom she claims is the priest's child. When the priest returns he of course denies any involvement and when the Goya the painter begins to look for Ine's daughter the priest is one step ahead of him. The story gets VERY interesting and the ending...is suiting. I really did like this film. Not the best thing I have seen but certainly enjoyable. I would say its worth a gander but nothing to rush for.

The Golden Compass
Ughhh. This movie was a disaster. Too much information in too short a time. The story is PRETTY to look but that is quickly lost in the maze of information that is handed to you. It was very hard to keep and interest and the lead girl I felt was not the best actress for this role. A lot of things didn't really make sense either as to why certain things were certain ways. I know probably having a background in the book would help, but I feel that if your going to make a movie about a book you should have enough detail but not tooo much information to have it all make sense. It seemed like this movie tried to hard to be like "Narnia" and it which case I thought it failed. Would I recommend this film? No, not at all. If you want to pique your curiosity then at least use this one as a filler in your queue but don't bother rushing for this.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
WOW!!! What a LONG LONG movie! I kept waiting for the end and it just never seemed to come. Not that this film isn't enjoyable, not by any means I found it very interesting to watch. However the length was just a little much. Affleck plays a young man who joins the James gang because he wants to be just like him. His fascination with him is sometimes goes a little too far. But as events unfold and as James begins to loose his grip on sanity Robert and his brother put into motion the deed that will forever mark them the coward. Pitt is stunning in the role ruthless in character and unforgettable all around. Affleck is brilliant but sometimes a little bit annoying. The rest of the cast is pretty well put together and although this movie IS a LONG one I wouldn't say it was worth skipping to view. I would say save this one for a rainy day or a long weekend. A top 10 or 15 for sure. A memorable film.

I Know Who Killed Me
What a mess!!! Don't get me wrong. The story had a LOT of potential. However it falls flat...VERY flat with ...Im not sure if its too much random images or the flashbacks which cause a lot of confusion. Not to mention the ending. If you can tell me what the heck its suppose to mean I would love to know. I wouldn't recommend this one to really anyone. Worth the skip over...trust me on this one.

Alien vs. Predator 2
The worst addition to the the alien or predator series. We kept hoping that it would get better, waiting for it to finally grab you, waiting for it to become the scary gory nasty movies we know and love....it NEVER happens. I have several theories as to why this one was such a bad movie. One its unlike all the rest. Takes place in the middle of civilization, its just toooo boring. No chance for your mind to imagine everything is structured unlike the previous films. There are also tooo many characters running about. Unlike the other films where it is a small group of people you get to know before being hurled into the action. Instead in this film you are being tossed from character to character unable to form a true connection. I could go on and on but I will sum it up. If you liked Alien, if you liked Predator, if you liked Alien Vs. Predator...DON'T see this movie. You will be VERY disappointed....sorry :(

Resident Evil: Apocalypse

The 11th Hour
This is a very interesting documentary on the global warming crisis facing our planet today & how it is effecting us, how it will effect us and ways to change it. Granted it is a very "doom and gloom" film which preaches its message with perfect clarity and drives the point home with several different experts on the subject. Very thought-provoking points as well as powerful visuals. Overall an interesting documentary but I can't help but feel that if someone other then Dicaprio was presenting this film it would be lost in the shuffle like so many other. Now again don't get me wrong its a good film. However as much "talk " as this documentary circulated that it would blow your mind. Over all..good.

No Reservations
Absolutely enjoyable! I loved this movie. So cute & romantic and sweet! Catherine is as stunning as ever and her character is brilliantly brought to life. Aaron does not disappoint in his role either. In fact I though Cathrine & Aaron were a great pair in this film. Abigail is adorable and does a great job in her role as a girl who recently looses her mother in a car accident leaving her in the very awkward hands of her perfectionist aunt Catherine. Aaron arrives on the scene and melts Abigail's heart which is quickly followed by her aunt's. Definitely a good movie for ladies night. I would recommend this film to all romantic comedy lovers.

Another failed "horror" film. Although the story sounds promising. It does nothing but fall short of its mark. Nichols is kind of a hard character to relate with in the film. Not sure if its because you really don't have time to get to know her character before the action begins. Bentley wow! Well for a crazy in love psycho killer this guy comes across more like a wanna be. Some of his lines are so rough it sounds like hes just reading them off. I will say that there was one part in the whole film that made the movie a horror film, but it was so short and brief that the film just seemed to once again drag on. Sorry to say it yet another failed horror flick.

The Queen of the Damned
Great adaptation to Ann Rice's book. The actors are perfect for the role & Aaliyah is the sexiest evil vampiress I have seen in a long time. Townsend is gorgeous not to mention a perfect choice for the lustful vampire who wants humans to know the secrets of the vampires. A must see for all vampire fans.

Borderland
The best film out of the 8 movies "To Die For" series. The fact that this movie is based on true events makes this movie very very freaky. VERY gruesome and graphic, wouldn't say a GREAT horror film however. Had a lot of potential but the conclusion was just not as "dramatic" as you would expect it to be. I would recommend this one to any horror fan unless you can't find a better one.

Love in the Time of Cholera
Bittersweet love story of a young man who falls for a woman at first site. What follows is beautiful love letters he writes to her expressing his love and obsession with her. Her father however will not allow it to happen, Fermina is taken away and eventually marries a doctor. Florentino however never gets over his love for Fermina and pines for her for many many many many years. He eventually goes on to use other woman to try and distract himself from the love he might never have. The ending...well I don't want to give it away..its very sweet and just beautiful in its own way. Unique film and definitely worth the gander. Put this one on your queue at least top 20.

Beaches
An all time best film. The story is captivation from beginning to end. Amazing cast you couldn't have asked for any better casting. I love Midler but I love her even more after seeing this film. A great film for best friends to watch together on a ladies night. Amazing film, watch it as soon as possible. You will be glad you did.

Unearthed
Boring, Awful movie. Boring and completely not worth the watch. Could barely get through it. Had to fast-forward just to say I finished it. Do not waste your time on this film. A waste of time and queue space. AVOID!!!

The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer
Grant plays a laid back playboy constantly in trouble with the law. Temple becomes love-struck when she meets Grant at a school presentation. She later sneaks into his apartment, where her older sister...who is ALSO a judge find them. She threatens Grant with prison but the plot thickens when Grant agrees to date Susan and promises her "love" for him will quickly die. Grant takes on the role as a teen (You remind me of a man..). During this plot to lose Susan's affection however Grant finds himself becoming attracted to her older sister. A funny film. A great film that is yet another perfect film of Grants. Its a little strange seeing Temple as a teen and not a kid anymore. However the film is a must see for any classic movie/comedy lover. A definet top 5-10 movie for your queue.

Arsenic and Old Lace
One of the BEST Carey Grant movies. I absolutely LOVED this film from beginning to end. Absolutely hilarious. Insanity truly does run in the family, especially this one. Grants old aunts are having afternoon tea with lonely old men...but..these men aren't leaving. Grant soon discovers what his aunts are up to and the comedy ensues. From Grants crazy "president Teddy Roosevelt" to his spooky brother. This movie will leave u in stitches. If you love old comedy, if you love Grant films. If you just looking for a good time. This is it!!!! You will fall for this one instantly. Perfect!!!! An all time favorite for any classic movie fan. Grant is amazing and this film only proves how great he was and how timeless his films are.

Nightmare Man
Worst movie EVER! Nothing good about this film. Bad story, the scaries part of this film?? The "acting" I say that because it was like watching a bunch of first grader reading a script for a play. The worst film I have seen EVER. AVOID AVOID!!!

Crazy Eights
Interesting plot. Starts out kinda spooky becomes cheaper and cheesier as the movie progresses however. I found that the acting just horrible. The story takes six childhood friends who meet again over an old friends funeral. When they discover the body of a little girl they begin to search an old building which is haunted by her spirit. Slowly the six are dwindled in number by a murdering revengeful spirit. The effects are cheesy the acting just incredibly bad and I can't believe that they call this movie scary enough to be in the Horror-Fest collection. Do not bother with this film its not worth it.

Tooth and Nail
This movie is part of the Horrorfest 2007 collection. I was very eager to see it as it sounds like a good one and of course the previews looked promising. 90 minutes later I am left disappointed and bored. The film is predictable and dull. The "scary" parts seemed to be geared more for the average 7-12 year old. The Rovers turn out to be like every kids version of the "boogieman" more so then the fearsome people that it is implied in the synopsis, preview & film. Bad scripting and bad acting also help make this movie the flop that it is. If your looking for a scary movie...this is NOT it.

Sweeney Todd
You almost HAVE be a Tim Burton and or Johnny Depp fan to truly enjoy and appreciate this movie. Almost disturbingly dark, which says a lot as all of Burton's films are. This one by far is his darkest films ever. As you begin the film there is nothing but moody blackness setting the tone for the story that will unravel. Depp is OUTSTANDING as the "Demon Barber" who's blood lust for revenge for the wrong done to him and his family leads him though the film. Although he seems almost sane in the beginning of this film it seems after his first kill his insanity quickly takes hold. Carter is a joy to watch (dare I say that in a film like this?). She plays a failing pie maker who soon finds herself not only helping Sweeney in his plot for revenge but also disposing of the bodies in her now most popular meat pies. The music is great, in fact I think that if this WASN'T a musical it would not be half successful as it has become. The music portrays more of the feeling though out the film as your senses are overwhelmed with the sites before you. Is this a horror? No, I don't think I would classify it as that. Its very graphic, like a horror film but scary? No. I would say the BEST word to describe this film as a whole would be Gothic. This is almost as Gothic as it gets. Hopeless, dark, demented, and in most points of this film...depressing. I wouldn't recommend this film to just anyone. Only people who LIKE Burton films, who don't mind LOTS of blood and gore. If you don't mind a movie that is depressing and dark. I absolutely loved this film to know end. I think it was VERY well done. The usage of black white and red its spectacular. Go get this one...and if your like me...add it to your personal collection.

Alvin and the Chipmunks
I must admit I was really trepidations about seeing this movie. I loved Alvin and the chipmunks when I was a kid. Most attempts to revive certain characters sometimes fail miserably (i.e Garfield movies). This movie however is completely different. Its actually VERY enjoyable. I was so thrilled to hear that famous Christmas song brought back to life AND on the big screen. The chipmunks are absolutely adorable and exactly like how I pictured the would look "in real life". Jason Lee would not have been my choice for the role as Dave, as i found him falling flat. The whole story as a whole is just a joy to watch and I know all the kiddies will love it. Its funny, its musical, and its just plain enjoyable. I would recommend this one for family night. Great for us adults who remember them way back when and to be able to share with this generations of children. I would definitely recommend this one for your queue at least top 5-10 on your queue.

Inside the Actors Studio: Johnny Depp
A MUST SEE for all Johnny Depp fans. Insightful and just a great way to get to know the Johnny we all know and love. I found after watching this that I like him even MORE now after learning a little more about who he is and how and why he chooses the roles he does. How he brings out the incredible characters he portrays. A MUST see for all fans...Go..Now!

Atonement
Brilliant, brilliant, BRILLIANT!!! This movie is spectacular. From beginning to end this film shines through and through. I must confess I have yet to read this book...but now I REALLY want to. McAvoy is AMAZING!! This guy is a phenomenal actor and his portrayal as Robbie couldn't POSSIBLY been better. In fact the whole cast was perfect ...and I mean to the "T". This film is destined to be a classic. Beautiful filming, spectacular directing. There is NOTHING bad about this film. I absolutely LOVE this film. A MUST MUST MUST watch. Also from what I heard from people who read the book AND saw the movie they were TOTALLY impressed with the adaptation. Perfectly transcribed from the book. Impressive. So what do I recommend? Move this one to #1 on your queue it TOTALLY deserves the spot.

Enchanted
Enchanted? Well I wouldn't go THAT far. Cute..yeah sure. Original...well a little bit. I couldn't help but as some parts go : "Hey that's from Snow White...oh and that is from Sleeping Beauty". The "copy cat" scenes were not my favorite but when the film ventured out to be original is when I started to like it. I loved Dempsey character... so cute. I found Adams a little annoying at times not sure if it was the scripting or just her. Wow! Sarandon??? I didn't realize she was the wicked Step-mother, talk about a shock! Why has she been reduced to a secondary character?? The ending is sweet, and the soundtrack was actually pretty great. I think this is a PERFECT movie to watch with the little girl in your life. They will absolutely love this film I'm sure. So over all...well I would say this film falls flat on quite a few notes and I think the best it will ever be is average. My suggestion if you don't have a kid who is dying to see this film...I would say don't rush it..MAYBE top 20 or 30.

Lake Dead
Yet ANOTHER horror film gone totally wrong. Another film that SOUNDS really great and promising, however leaves you disappointed. The acting in this film is not just a rating of F its a big fat awful "worse then Paris Hilton" F. The story line of this film actually had promise and I must admit at FIRST I thought well maybe this might actually be good. However it quickly turned as the actor meander there way through awful dialog. The "twist" was actually really interesting...to be honest I didn't see it coming and when I did...Ewwwww lol. I don't want to give it away. So overall would I say watch it? Hmmm I think I would say if you have NOTHING else in the world you want to watch...okay then maybe.

Southland Tales
A strange film that caught my attention. With its all star cast and and a potentially interesting story line. I was however disappointed, I mean I KNEW that Gellar isn't a worthy actor for ANY film but really... I though for sure as much fun as it is to watch the ROCK and Timberlake not to mention some of the casts from SNL. I mean COOL right? No :( It was a let down for me from beginning to end and I just COULDN'T get into it no matter HOW hard I tried. The character were just strange and detached, there just seemed to me like there was nothing in this film to really draw you into it. If there was any so called "comedy" in this film, I would LOVE to know where exactly that was because wow...dull dull dull. Take my advice... AVOID!!!
